Seedling Room
Our Seedlings Room caters for up to 8 babies aged from birth to 24 months. We recognise that every child develops at their own pace, so transitions to the next room are based on each child's individual stage of development. This ensures that every move supports their holistic growth and emotional wellbeing.
Within the Seedlings Room, we prioritise building positive and secure attachments through our established Key Person system, which continues throughout the nursery. By embedding this approach from such a young age, babies are able to form happy, secure relationships with a familiar adult who supports them as they begin to explore and learn about the world around them at Ash Park Childcare.

We place a strong emphasis on following each child's individual routine to ensure their personal care needs are consistently met. By respecting home routines and responding sensitively to each baby's cues, we help children feel safe, content, and valued during their time at nursery.
As in all of our rooms, we support children's holistic development by planning exciting, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences. In the Seedlings Room, there is a particular focus on sensory exploration, alongside activities guided by our Seedlings curriculum, to nurture curiosity and early development in a warm and engaging environment.
Daffodils Room
Our Daffodils Room is a vibrant and nurturing environment that holds up to 12 children aged 2–3 years. Before moving into this room, we like our Daffodils to be confidently walking and beginning to develop independence across other key areas of learning.
While we continue to respect each child's individual routine, children in the Daffodil Room typically move towards having just one afternoon nap, gradually transitioning away from naps altogether as they grow and develop.
This is a wonderful stage of rapid language development. Our room is filled with singing, storytelling, conversation, and laughter as practitioners model and promote strong communication and language skills.

Alongside communication and language, our team places a strong emphasis on personal, social, and emotional development. We support children in learning to take turns, build friendships, and develop positive social behaviours. At the same time, we nurture growing independence through physical activities such as climbing, self-feeding, and encouraging children to use language to express their thoughts and ideas.
As with our younger rooms, the Daffodils Room follows both the wider Ash Park curriculum and a carefully designed Daffodils curriculum — ensuring creative, stimulating, and welcoming activities that both challenge and inspire young, curious minds.
We also enhance learning through enriching extracurricular experiences, including trips to the local library and visits from Miss Diane, our dance teacher.
"Ash Park have been taking care of my little boy for two years, I trust them implicitly they always go to great lengths to keep me and my partner informed. His Key Workers are incredible Vincent absolutely adores Lily in particular but also Emma and Varna. Any issues are quickly highlighted and he has a wonderful time and learns a lot everyday. We love him attending and the biggest reference I can make is our daughter will soon attend also."
