About Us

AshPark Childcare is a well-known and established Nannying and Childcare service that has ventured into a Nursery setting. Steph, the Director of Ash Park, is a local Farmer's daughter, who has always had a love for working with children since leaving school.

Ash Park Nursery is located at The Stables, Marage Road, Thirsk, YO7 1UN. It is ideally located within walking distance of the town centre and has ample parking, both on site and adjacent in a council run car park.

Thirsk is a small market town and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England. Historically a part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, it is 8 miles from the county town of Northallerton. According to statistics in 2011, Thirsk had a population of 4,998 – and this is growing day by day.

Thirsk is a popular tourist destination close to the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors. It is known for being the birthplace of James Herriot, the famous author and veterinarian, and the birthplace of Thomas Lord, a bowler - both slow and quick - but also the founder and operator of the world's most famous cricket ground, Lords, aptly named after him. Thirsk also has a racecourse, located on the western edge of the town.

Ash Park was set up in April 2020, in the middle of the first Coronavirus National Lockdown. It was an extremely challenging time for everyone, especially those that had to juggle working from home and home-schooling, which was new to us all. It was here, when Steph, and her partner Andrew came with the idea of Ash Park Childcare Services. A childcare service where Steph would support families that needed it, with a Nannying service, allowing parents the opportunity to get some work done and carry out tasks they would normally be able to manage in better circumstances without a lockdown.

CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS & DISABILITIES
